Students at The School at McGuire Memorial need special care, as they are physically and/or emotionally fragile. We offer programs for students on the autism spectrum and students with multiple disabilities. We have served children from more than 40 school districts across the region, and have seen them grow and succeed as students here.
Class sizes are limited to eight students, with each class staffed by one special education teacher and at least two paraprofessionals. Our classrooms are set up each school year according to both the age and capabilities of each individual student, enabling all to advance at the most desirable rates.
Placement in the school is funded by the students’ home school districts, which also provide daily transportation. Approximately 2/3 of our students live at their family homes, with others being residents at McGuire Memorial or in local group homes.
If you would like to meet with us concerning a student who would be well-suited for The School at McGuire Memorial, please
